Now that the captain America blanket is complete I have started on D’s blanket. It’s coming along quite nicely and I will do a blog post about it soon.

I have also managed to do a sweet little baby blanket, which I’m really pleased with. It’s for someone at work and for once I am really organised as the baby isn’t due until June!

I was inspired by @libbycraft on Instagram by her 12 pointed star blanket, she advised my that the pattern was available for free on ravelry and was called the rainbow ripple baby blanket. I did have a read of it but for some patterns I just need a chart, as I sometimes struggle to get my head round it otherwise. I googled 12 point crochet blanket chart and used one of the results, I’m not sure of the original source so I won’t post it here as I don’t think it’s fair to the original creator.

It was a really simple make and quite a relaxing one which made it perfect to do in the evening while vegging out in front of the tv.

I really recommend the pattern to all abilities!

The wool was from Aldi and is 80% acrylic and 20% wool. I’m not a massive fan of real wool as I find it’s quite itchy or wool blends. This wool was also quite staticky and it stuck to me quite a lot! The balls were 200g each and I used two balls for this.

I put it out on the floor to take a photo and the minute I did Pica jumped straight on it… I don’t think she wants it to go.. maybe I will do another one for her!

What have you all been making? I’d love to hear about it!

Thank you. I’m really pleased with the colours. I’ve not used a graduated type colour before but will definitely use one again.
