Happy New Year!
I hope you all had a good one and are not finding being back at work or school etc too stressful. I know I had trouble getting up this morning!
In my last post I told you about the first part of my holiday to Scotland and in this post I’m going to tell you about the second part.
Christmas day we were woken up 6am by the nephews, who were eager to open presents. The day was spent playing with toys, cooking and lots of time eating.
Boxing day we drove the 30 something miles from Carrbridge to Loch Ness. I didn’t realise how big and vast Loch Ness was, it is an amazing sight.
It was a cold crisp day but it was so beautiful that we didn’t care.
We also went to Urquhart Castle as well which is a medieval castle on the shore of Loch Ness. It was repeatedly attacked during the 15th and 16th centuries, and stopped being a castle in 1692. It is amazing to think that it has been there that long and withstood so much.
Saturday saw us going to Lecht after a snowfall and we managed to do a bit of snowboarding although visibility was very poor.
What did you all get up to over the Christmas break?
xoxo
