Hello lovely people!

I hope you are all enjoying the Christmas break, I am finally settling into the normality after a lovely break in Scotland last week for Christmas.

D and I went to Carrbridge with his brother and his wife and 3 children. It was so nice to be somewhere new at Christmas. We stayed in a cottage which was gorgeous, and the owners had even decorated it for us with a Christmas tree and fairy lights.

We went to the Cairngorm mountain on our first day there in the hope of doing some snowboarding, we were warned when buying our tickets that the conditions were a blustery but we decided to take the chance and go up on the mountain train. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great and there were very strong winds, which I didn’t enjoy too much as it would almost knock me over it was so strong.

The second day we went over to Lecht mountain resort, which had more runs open, but due to not a lot of snow it meant that it was really icy in places. My nephews were learning to snowboard this week so I decided to hang with them on the nursery slope while D went off and tried some of the other runs.

As you can see conditions aren’t great but we had fun!
On Christmas Eve we went for a walk in the woods near our cottage in Carrbridge, the woods were so pretty and we found some amazing views.

If you look closely enough you might be able to see trolls! (according to my nephew!)

We played pooh sticks off a bridge, but had to use big sticks and the small ones were dragged under by the current

We named this moss Grinch hair…

That’s all for now, will do another post on Scotland later in the week.. about loch ness and more mountains!
xoxo
