I can’t believe it’s Tuesday evening already. I’ve had such a lovely few days, with D’s family visiting for an early Easter. I didn’t get to do much making, but I did manage to squeeze in a bit of blanket crocheting. The nephews have also put in their next requests. I have dinosaurs, spiderman and teenage mutant ninja turtles to make as well as a blanket, all by May.. Thank goodness for ravelry!

I’m using my Lucy pack to make this blanket and the pattern is from cypress textiles. I decided to a graduated colour pattern as I think it always blends better when using a lot of colours.

So last weekend I managed to do get some stock made ready for the craft fair that I had at Frome Independent Market. I made a half apron using some of the moustache fabric that I currently have in stock. I am really pleased with how it came out and it will cost £15 to buy, and will be available at craft fairs and in the Etsy shop.

The weather in Frome on the Sunday wasn’t too bad considering the forecast was originally heavy rain, and we didn’t have any rain until the very end. I had a nice day and it was lovely start to the year ahead of hopefully a lot more craft fairs!

It was D’s birthday last week, so we had a couple of days off work to celebrate and went shopping in Bath and had lunch at Nando’s. I love Bath and I can’t wait for Primark to come to town in the summer as it will mean that I don’t have to go to Bristol to get my fix of cheapness!

I did manage to start another project last week as well and decided to do another caponcho as I really liked the one I made for my mum.  I’m using yarn that I dyed myself (which is also available to buy for £8 for 100g of dk or you can get two balls for £15.) It’s hard to capture it’s true colour, but it is an amethyst colour.

I really like the way it is knitting up and it is a semi sold dye lot. I do love this pattern as it’s so quick to do. I cast on 74 stitches which is more than the pattern suggests and use 7 mm needles.

I hope you have all had lovely weekends over the last couple of weeks, what have you all been making recently. I would love to hear about it!
xoxo
