I realised today that I never did a wreath ta-da post when I finished it the other week so thought I would do a quick post now so that you could all see it. Those of you that follow me on instagram will have already seen it.
I’m really happy with the way it turned out and it has been getting positive feedback from craft fairs although no-one has bought it yet, but I am confident that it will end up in the right owners home eventually!
I used a polystyrene wreath and used hoopla yarn to single crocheted around the wreath. I made sure that I left a long tail so that it could be used to hand the wreath with as well. I then made a Christmas tree using felt balls and sewed them together and then made some holly leaves using Lucy’s pattern over at attic 24. I also tied a bow ribbon and attached it to the ring.
I’m going to make some more in different colours and either sell them or give them as Christmas pressies.
So what do you all think? I wanted to keep it simple as I am not overly keen on really busy Christmas wreaths but I might try and make one that has a bit more going on as I have some wooden snowflakes now and I’m tempted to add a couple of baubles as well. I’ve set up a Pinterest board dedicated to wreaths and they have given me plenty of inspiration. You should check them out!
