Im writing this using the iPhone blogger app, so do forgive me if it comes up differently to usual, as it’s the first time I have used it.

So a little while ago I decided that I wanted to do a granny stripe blanket, I’d seen Lucy’s over at attic24 and been inspired by that and I’d also found some on Flickr and instagram which made me want to do one even more!!

So with that I promptly ordered the yarn and I was so excited when it arrived and I got started straight away. I spent some time thinking about the pattern I wanted with the colours I had ordered and what size hook to use and eventually came up with my plan!

I decided on grey wool with aqua, purple, raspberry and lime, originally I was going to one grey stripe section and one colour stripe section but decided to put all the colours together instead. I picked chunky yarn as I wanted a nice thick blanket and used a 6mm crochet hook.
