Today has been my day off from work so I have enjoyed it by visiting my mum and dad (it’s her birthday today so happy birthday mum!) and by doing one of my other favourite things to do… crochet.

I wanted to share with one of the projects I am working on, which is a sunflower cushion. It was inspired by the Attic 24 Blooming Flower Cushion (click for the original pattern)

I’m really enjoying making it and is growing fast.. I’m debating whether to make the back plain or have a double sided sunflower cushion. I also want to incorporate some leaves and have a plan on how I am going to do it… I’m excited to see how it is going to turn out 🙂

I’m debating how far to go out with the petals, the cushion is still quite small so I’m going to keep going for now….

Once I’ve made it I will probably do a tutorial on it so that you can all have sunflowers brightening up your houses!
